Workplacement Scheme

Industry Work Placements fall into two different categories – Summer Placements and a ‘Year in Industry’.

Oil & gas summer placements are advertised through your university careers service or on the company’s own website. They tend to run for three months over your summer break and in some cases can be paid.  Summer placements are popular - keep an eye out for updates early on in the year.

A number of courses at university involve a ‘year in industry’ placement.  This tends to be part of your third year curriculum and will allow you to gain an insight into the world of the oil & gas industry and the world of work.

Not only will these placements be beneficial to you for experience, but they will also benefit your CV and put you in good stead after graduation.
