Safety Moment

An offshore worker stepped onto grating that was covering a rotating auger. The grating gave way and fell onto the auger. The emergency stop was immediately activated and the worker sustained slight bruising to his heel. Lesson identified: Ensure all guards and covers are secure before coming into contact with them.
